Loom Knit A Seat Cushion – An Easy Summer Loom Knitting Project

The title states that this is an, “Easy Summer Loom Knitting Project” but really it is an easy loom knitting project you can do at any time during the year. One of the best things about this video by Kristen Mangus of Good Knit Kisses is that it shows you how to take a needle knitting pattern and convert it to a loom knitting pattern.  This is a skill you can use to convert other needle kit patterns to loom knitting patterns.
The video is detailed and takes you from beginning to end in converting the Bernat seat cushion needle knit pattern by Yarnspirations to a pattern you can use with your looms the finished loom knitted seat cushion. It is well documented with fantastic visuals as well as good verbal instructions. You will also get some good on-screen instructions. Basically you get everything you need to complete this project including the free Yarnspiration pattern which you can get at this link – https://goo.gl/JcV5Dc .
Here is a complete list of the skills Kristen says you will learn from following along with her loom knitting tutorial:
*Read and convert needle pattern to loom
*Determine which loom to use
*Make a swatch, compare to needle and figure stitch count
*Sizing – Make cushion wider or smaller based on gauge
*Longtail Cast-on

*Change colors – two different methods
*Cast off in pattern (bind off)

She does recommend you watch the entire video at least once before beginning.
