Loom Knit Shadow Work Using The Stockinette Stitch

Always on the lookout for good loom knitting videos that will teach loom knitters something new I ran across this video uploaded by Kathryn Doubrley aka TheAnswerLady. In this video Kathryn teaches you how to add texture and design to your knitting projects using a technique she may have invented called shadow work.  To create the shadow work she uses the stockinette stitch on the double knitting board. The design she demonstrates in the video creates a finished project that looks very complex and fancy but as she shows you in her loom knitting tutorial really is easy to accomplish.

The Answer Lady shows you the easy answer to making your projects look like a million dollars in her well shot video. She takes her time and explains each step she uses to create the shadow work.  She does a good job of giving you close-ups of the steps she is taking as she is loom knitting.  Another good thing she does is gives you some examples of what your work can look like when used in various loom knitting projects.

Take a look at the video and learn a new way to dress up your loom knitting projects using Kathyryn Doubrley’s shadow work design using the stockinette stitch.
